Former Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry has died in a road accident near Mumbai. He was 54 years old, Palghar police station has confirmed this accident. Police said that there were four people in the car at the time of the accident, out of which 2 people have died and 2 people have been injured.

Under Cyrus' leadership, Shapoorji Pallonji & Co made huge profits and its turnover increased from 20 million pounds to about 1.5 billion pounds.

Under the leadership of Cyrus, his company made many big records in India. These include the construction of the tallest residential tower, the construction of the longest railway bridge and the construction of the largest port. In 2006, Cyrus Mistry joined the board of Tata Sons, after the retirement of Ratan Tata in 2012, he took over the reins of the Tata Group, becoming the sixth chairman of Tata Sons. In 2016, Cyrus Mistry was removed from the post of chairman by voting on the board of Tata Sons.
