Pithora- 27 CG NCC Battalion Raipur under the guidance of Commanding Officer Colonel Ashwani Sinha and under the guidance of Principal of Government Higher Secondary School Gondbahal Mukesh Dadsena and under the leadership of NCC officer Shri Vivek Verma, a cleanliness drive was carried out on the banks of the pond of village Gondbahal and about 50 kg of garbage. The cleaning done by NCC cadets 45 student soldiers have contributed in this holy work by donating their 1 hour labor. After collecting the garbage on the banks of the pond, destroying it, set up a hideout and told the people who come to keep it clean.
It may be mentioned that Puneet Sagar Abhiyan is being run by NCC to make people aware to maintain cleanliness in lakes, rivers, ponds. Under this campaign, NCC cadets are cleaning the ghats of rivers across the country. At the same time, these students are making people aware that keep the ghats clean. With this, a person can avoid many diseases, as well as the rivers will be saved from being polluted. The campaign seeks to raise awareness among the local population about the importance of keeping beaches and river banks clean as well. It tries to educate the local people and make them aware about 'Clean India'. CHM Sampat Patel, Sergeant Harish Sagar, Cadet Madhusudan, Preeti Nishad, Neha Patel, Muskan Nishad and cadets like Tarun Yadav, Kishore Mehra, etc. had a special contribution in making this program a success.
