Unique initiative of Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai Police
A unique initiative has been taken by Hon'ble Superintendent of Police, KCG Ankita Sharma and KCG Police team, Additional Superintendent of Police, sdop Khairagarh, SDOP Gandai.
Villages on the Gandai-Chhuikhadan-Khairagadh-Jalbandha-Thelkadih-Rajnandgaon main road, where cows sit on the road, road accidents on one side cause damage to the general public and on the other hand the cows are harmed. To prevent this, TI, staff and beat in-charges of all these police stations are putting radium reflector tapes on lions and hooves of animals with the help of people, mainly - village Kotwar, Gothan President, Panch Sarpanch and other volunteers. So that efforts can be made to curb road accidents especially at night.
Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma said that this is a continuous process which is possible only with public cooperation, with a small effort of common people, efforts will be made to prevent future accidents.
So far more than 100 cows have been fitted with reflector tapes with the help of police and villagers. This process will continue till the work is completed. In the first phase, the main road has been selected, in the second phase, this campaign will be attempted in the interior areas as well.
