Janjgir Champa - Baloda police arrested the accused of raping on the pretext of marriage in just two hours and produced him in the court, from where he was sent to jail on judicial remand.
Giving detailed information in this regard, Baloda police station in-charge Gopal Satpathy told Arvind Tiwari that the victim lodged a report at Baloda police station that on June 01, 2021, the victim was alone at home, during that time Uttam Singh Narmada came to the victim's house to drink water and opened the door of the house. The victim was forcibly raped after being locked up and threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident. After this, the accused used to rape the victim forcefully by threatening her. Due to which the victim became pregnant in October 2022, when the victim told the accused to get married, the accused asked her to get married after aborting the child. On November 09, 2022, the accused forcefully fed the victim medicine for abortion on the victim's refusal to abort the child, due to which the victim miscarried. When the victim asked the accused to get married, the matter of marriage was avoided. On the report of the victim, crime number 471/22, section 506, 376 Bhadvi was registered against the accused in police station Baloda and taken into consideration. Keeping in view the seriousness of the case, accused Uttam Singh Narmada age 35 resident Rasauta was arrested today by the Baloda police and produced in the court, from where he was sent to jail on judicial remand.
