Surguja - A virtual meeting of Superintendents of Police of range level districts was taken today by the Inspector General of Police, Surguja Range, Ram Gopal Garg. In this, while reviewing the crime and law and order of the districts, he gave instructions regarding action on various points. Special attention should be paid to the disposal of all serious cases pending in the districts, especially cases of murder, attempt to murder, rape, kidnapping and crimes related to women and children, missing person (woman/man, boy/girl), SC/ST Act. And all such pending cases were reviewed and directed to resolve them in a time-bound manner. Disciplinary action by the Inspector General of Police, fixing the responsibility of the concerned investigator, for solving the crimes related to women and children pending in the police station/outpost of the district, within 60 days, and fixing the responsibility of the concerned investigator, if the crimes are not resolved within 60 days. Strict instructions were given to do so. Similarly, while reviewing the pending Marg cases, instructions were given regarding quick disposal of the cases. The Inspector General of Police directed to ensure effective presence of the police in the area and to take effective action against the suspected people affecting the common citizens. Apart from this, the Superintendents of Police were directed to restrain the station/outpost in-charges to ensure that the work of the station/outpost is well organized, and that there is no misbehavior with the people coming to the station/outpost. The matters of women, children and weaker sections, communal matters should be taken seriously and immediate action should be taken. Immediate action should be taken on the reports and complaints of the general public. In order to reduce road accidents, necessary technical improvements should be made at identified accident prone spots (black spots/grey spots). Strict instructions were given to take effective action under the Motor Vehicles Act against vehicles parked haphazardly on highways and main roads. All the Superintendents of Police of the range remained connected during this range level crime virtual meeting.
