In order to reduce road accidents and to create a sense of awareness about traffic rules, by conducting a joint campaign today, Rs 18,600 was collected against 62 negligent drivers under the Motor Vehicles Act.

Summons fee charged. During this checking campaign, drivers and common citizens were also informed about not using traffic signals, traffic rules and pressure horns by advising them to wear seat belts and helmets. Along with the explanation, overheat vehicle driving, vehicle entry in no entry, use of pressure horn, driving at high speed, driving under the influence of alcohol, overload goods/passenger transport, three passengers in a two wheeler, clear number plate Strict action has been taken against those who are found driving vehicles without pollution certificate, talking on mobile while driving and not presenting the documents of the vehicle on the spot. This type of checking will increase the public's faith in the police. Balod police is always ready for the safety of the general public and passers-by. This checking campaign will continue continuously by the Balod police.

In view of the possible danger of road accidents due to overturning of sugarcane laden vehicles, the Balod Police is continuously installing reflector tape (radium) in the vehicles transporting sugarcane, in order to transport sugarcane in Jhalmala Chowk Balod today. Reflector (radium) tape was installed in the vehicles so that the vehicle can be seen clearly while driving at night and accidents due to collision from behind with sugarcane carts can be reduced. Balod police appeals to the common citizens that while operating the sugarcane carts, drive a restrained speed vehicle, do not park the vehicles on the roadside, if there is a mechanical fault in the vehicles, then only enough wide roadside vehicles should be put on the side and put enough security cordon. The owners of sugarcane vehicles should tie red cloth on the sides and back of their vehicles at the time of their sugarcane transport, so that it would be easy to estimate the width of the sugarcane carts while driving. Balod police's action against uncontrollably parked vehicles will continue.
