Bilaspur - On the basis of the information received from the informer, the Bilha police have arrested ten gambling accused while conducting raids. After seizing Rs 27,300 in cash, 52 playing cards from the possession of the accused, the police is investigating by registering a case under the Gambling Act.
Giving detailed information in this regard, Bilha police station in-charge Inspector Devesh Singh Rathore told Arvind Tiwari that on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh and Additional Superintendent of Police Mr. Rural Rahul Dev Sharma, to immediately curb illegal drug and gambling players, Under the guidance of Deputy Superintendent of Police (SJPU) C.D. Lahere, on information, a team was immediately formed and went to Khar near village Pendarwa pond and carried out raids by laying siege. In this action, ten accused were caught red-handed while gambling, from whom the total Jumla amount of Rs. Since the act of the accused was found to be under Section 13 of the Gambling Act, the crime was registered and taken into consideration. The said action was taken under the leadership of station in-charge Devesh Singh Rathore. In which the main constables Rupesh Tigga, Santosh Markam, Ranjit Khalkho, Sumant Chandravanshi, Ravishekhar Siro, Shatruhan Kaushik, Satish Sahu, Jwala Singh, Someshwar Sahu had a special contribution.
