Couple arrested for cheating house sale tax

Janjgir Champa - Kotwali police today arrested the husband and wife who cheated by not giving possession after selling the house and sent them on judicial remand. 34 lakh fifty thousand rupees have been cheated by the accused. A total of 12 persons have been cheated by the accused to the tune of Rs 03 crore 14 lakh in the past.

                           Giving detailed information in this regard, Kotwali police station in-charge Inspector Lakhesh Kevat told Arvind Tiwari that the applicant Govind Sahu, a resident of Bodsara, lodged a report at Janjgir police station that on August 2, 2018, house number B in Dipti Vihar Colony from Dhaniram Banjare, owner of Dipti Builders, By showing 11, a deal was done for 35 lakhs. Five lakh rupees were transferred by the applicant from Korba SBI of his son-in-law Prakash Sahu to the account of Dipti Builders. Out of the same, on September 20, 2018, the registry returned the registry fee of Rs.250000 and Rs.200000 and kept the remaining amount of Rs.550000 with itself. The applicant had taken a home loan of Rs 29 lakh for the said house, which was transferred to the account of the accused. The house has not been built when the applicant asked to hand over the house, saying that it will be handed over after one or two months, the possession of the house was not given by delay. Crime No. 157/2023 Section 420, 120 against the accused in police station Janjgir for cheating Rs 34 lakh 50 thousand in the name of sale of house by showing the house in other's name by Dipti builders owner Dhaniram Banjare and registrar Parvati Banjare B, 34 Bhadvi was registered and taken into consideration. During the investigation, the documents related to the registry and the bank statement were seized. Similarly, Rs 35 lakh from Govind Sahu resident Bodsara Seoni, Rs 29 lakh from Dwarika Prasad Patle Bankimongra, Rs 25 lakh from Daleshwar Manjhi resident Janjgir, Rs 25 lakh from Anil Kumar Miri, Rama Manjhi/Sonau Manjhi resident Chandaniya Para by the accused husband wife. Rs 35 lakh from Dhaniram Ratnakar resident bus stand Rs 14 lakh, Kanhaiya Maravi Rs 14 lakh, Rohan Rathore resident Champa Rs 07 lakh, Subhadra Kanwar/Gyan Singh Rs 25 lakh, Rohani Shriwas resident Rs 40 lakh from Sukli, Rs 45 lakh from Abhishek Sahu and Rs 20 lakh from Yashwant Rathore, in this way a total fraud of Rs 03 crore 14 lakh has been done. Accused Dhaniram Banjare aged 52 years and Parvati Banjare aged 39 years, residents of Dipti Vihar Colony, Janjgir, were sent to judicial remand today. Inspector Lakhesh Kenwat, sub-inspector BP Tiwari, head constable Rajkumar Chandra, constable Sitesh Yadav, Sitaram Suryavanshi and women constable Jayanti Lahere had special contribution in the said proceedings.
