The accused were doing this for a long time. The police have registered an offense under the Essential Commodities Act and taken it under investigation.

According to the police, an illegal refilling godown was being operated in a house in Labhandi. In this, the gas was extracted from domestic gas cylinders through a vacuum machine and filled in commercial cylinders. On getting information about this, Telibandha police raided the godown. Sandeep Jain and Vikas Sharma, who operated the warehouse, have been arrested.

Police have registered an offense against both of them under the Essential Commodities Act and taken it into consideration. A total of 72 gas cylinders, 2 vacuum machines, electricity board, wire, pan screwdriver and other equipment have been recovered from the godown by the police.

According to the police, three to four kg of gas was extracted from each domestic gas cylinder and filled in commercial cylinders. After this, the domestic gas cylinder was again sealed packed. This same domestic gas cylinder was distributed to the consumers. On the other hand, the accused used to sell commercial gas cylinders at a higher price.

The accused is the operator of the gas agency

According to the police, accused Vikas Sharma has an agency in Semaria by the name of Reliance Gas. Only the domestic cylinders of the agency used to be taken to the illegal refilling godown and after taking out the gas of the same, they used to fill it in commercial gas cylinders. Apart from Reliance agency, gas cylinders of Indane agency have also been found on the spot. The accused used to sell commercial cylinders in hotels, restaurants and other places at an exorbitant price of Rs 600 to 700.

The case of Kabirnagar got cold

Illegal gas godown was also exposed in Hirapur of Kabir Nagar. Here too, gas was extracted from domestic gas cylinders and sold commercially. Due to a sudden explosion in the warehouse, two including the warehouse operator had died. In this case, the police has not yet taken action against the agency operator whose gas cylinders were found in the godown. The domestic cylinder of the agency person was reaching the godown.
