Surajpur - Most of the cyber crime i.e. online fraudsters are from other states. After the cyber crime is committed, the action of arresting the accused, helping the victim to get back their hard earned money is ensured by the police. But if the citizens remain alert and aware about cyber crime and online fraud, then such incidents should not happen, for the purpose of preventing this type of crime, Surajpur Police has started the Cyber Prahari program.
Ram Gopal Garg, Inspector General of Police, Sarguja Range, said this while inaugurating Surajpur Police's new initiative "Cyber Prahari" in the meeting hall of District Panchayat Surajpur, related to crime prevention and awareness. He told that under this "Cyber Prahari" program, in the first phase, 38 thousand people of the district have been linked to the WhatsApp broadcast group, through which they will receive information related to cybercrime. With this, the message of making police accessible to every person in the district, prevention of cybercrime, security awareness will be given. Apart from this, no person should be a victim of fraud, not only cyber but awareness related information will be made available through cyber guard at a quick pace in a short time to prevent many crimes. Surguja IG Garg further said that if the relationship between the police and the public remains intact, crimes can be curbed. Appreciating this initiative of Surajpur Police related to public safety, crime prevention and awareness, IG said that this program will further strengthen better policing. On the other hand, Superintendent of Police Surajpur Ramkrishna Sahu said that under the guidance of Surguja IG Garg, the outline of the Cyber Prahari program was prepared. There are a total of 543 villages in the entire area of 13 police stations and 10 outposts of the district, in order to make the police accessible to all the citizens, 110 broadcast groups of 38 thousand people have been formed in the first phase and new groups are being formed continuously. In the second phase, a target has been set to add all the WhatsApp users of the district to the Cyber Prahari programme. Under this program, citizens will be helped to become aware of crime prevention. Officers and jawans of cyber cell and police control room will share information from time to time about prevention of cyber, online fraud, traffic rules and other crimes and will continuously establish dialogue with them and make them aware of the information. In this episode, CEO District Panchayat Sushri Leena Kosam termed Surajpur Police's Cyber Prahari program very useful. He said that under this program police will reach more people in less time, they can be made aware about many subjects and prevention of crime. He talked about giving all possible cooperation from the administration in this campaign of the police. Gratitude in the program was done by Additional Superintendent of Police Madhulika Singh, nodal officer of Cyber Prahari program and the stage was operated by Pradhan Pathak Seemanchal Tripathi.
Surguja IG sent a greeting message
During the program, Surguja IG Ramgopal Garg posted a greeting message in the broadcast group of Surajpur Police's Cyber Prahari. He said that correct information will be disseminated in a credible manner. In this, other important information will be given about the new methods of online fraud and ways to avoid them. By making the people of the district aware, everyone has to be made a cyber guard so that everyone can cooperate with each other and save each other from online threats.
Cyber Prahari logo unveiled
During the program, the attractive logo of Surajpur Police's Cyber Prahari program was unveiled by IG Surguja Range Ramgopal Garg, Superintendent of Police Surajpur Ramkrishna Sahu, CEO District Panchayat Ms. Leena Kosam. A memento was presented to the guests to keep the program intact. During this, DSP Headquarters Nandini Thakur, SDOP Surajpur Prakash Soni, SDOP Pratappur Amolak Singh, all police station in-charges of the district, constables of police station beat and journalists were specially present.
