IG assures security to girl students on Human Rights Day

Ambikapur - A workshop on the role of police in protection of human rights was organized today on International Human Rights Day under the auspices of IQAC and Department of Political Science at local Government Rajmohini Devi Girls Post Graduate College, Ambikapur. Inspector General of Police of Surguja Division, Mr. Ram Gopal Garg was present among the girl students as the main speaker in this workshop. Here, in his concise address, giving information about the cooperation that the girl students get from the police, he assured the security given to them by the police at all times during the direct dialogue with the girl students. In this program, the girl students asked many questions to the IG sir, to which he answered with great patience and enthusiasm. Range IG Shri Ram Gopal Garg was welcomed by Principal Dr. Jyoti Sinha at the beginning of the program. On the other hand, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Dwivedi kept the basic concept of human rights among the girl students and advised the girl students to be aware of the protection of their rights. In the end, Dr. Hajra Bano, Head of Department of Political Science, expressed gratitude towards the chief guest and the entire police administration and requested for similar cooperation in future. The entire program was coordinated by Mrs. Priyanka Singh Chandel (Assistant Professor English). At the end of the program, the book titled "Social, Economic and Political Inclusion Issues and Challenges of Tribals in Contemporary India" edited by Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Dwivedi was released by Inspector General of Police Surguja Range Ram Gopal Garg.
